3.1. Opening and Welcome - President

  1. Annual General Meeting (AGM) commenced at 4:50pm.

3.2. Standing Items

  1. Acceptance of the minutes from the previous meeting - President

3.3. Reports

  1. President Report

    1. The CLUG President produced his Presidents Report for the AGM, available at Annex A. The report highlights the extraordinary efforts of the CLUG and its members across the Australian Capital Territory and region in supporting various charitable and community organisations, and

    2. The President called out the incumbent Vice President, Mr. Tony Hooper, for his excellent efforts as he steps down from the Vice role.

  2. Financial Report

    1. The CLUG Treasurer, Kirsten Aitchison, detailed the financial report, detailed in Annex B. The CLUG is in a healthy financial situation with more than $7,000 banked, assets of ~$58,000, and financial planning for the 2024 Canberra Brick Show well underway.

  3. Asset Manager

    1. Matthew Dadswell provided the CLUG with a breakdown of CLUG assets and inventory, including:

      1. ~$6,000 in LEGO sets

      2. $13,000 in enduring assets (electronic equipment, tablecloths, etc.

      3. $4,700 in gifted sets to members through raffles and the annual Christmas party

  4. LEGO Ambassador report

    1. CLUGs dedicated LEGO Ambassador, Steven Whittaker, provided the AGM an insight into CLUG engagement across the international Ambassador network, including with the LEGO group. CLUG is held in high regard within the organisation. Additionally, CLUG has started receiving some LEGO items for use by the CLUG, distributed through the Ambassador network. Support will increase through possible recognition of CLUG as a Tier 2 LEGO User Group. The detailed report is at Annex C.

3.4. Receipt and consideration of the statement of accounts (FY23/24):

  1. The President proposed the acceptance of receipt and consideration of the statement of accounts for the previous financial year, 2023-24.

3.5. Budget and expenditure (FY23/24)

The treasurer detailed budget and expenditure over the previous financial year, detailed in the statement of accounts and financial report.

3.6. Appointment of new Committee

The President detailed and introduced the nominations for the new CLUG committee for financial year 2024-25.

3.7. Other Business

The next CLUG Committee meeting will be held Sunday 01 September at 3.00pm, followed by the September CLUG monthly meeting. No other business was put forward to the AGM

At 17:17 pm, the presiding member closed the meeting.
